Whatâs in a Hangover Rescue treatment at City Barbers in Salt Lake City, Utah? Think of the Hangover Rescue experience as a relaxing Menâs Facial.
Take yourself back to Prohibition times when everyone still drank a little bit. We lay you back to relax and detox everything. Apply hot towel after hot towel to pull out any toxins. Then face washes, beard washes, shaving soaps, and face scrubs. The whole idea is to exfoliate, cleanse the skin, and hydrate.
The first half of the service is more of an alkaline pH level reaction to really clean everything. The second half of the service is more of an acidic pH level reaction adding oils to the face, moisturizing, and really making sure your skin is all taken care of.
The whole idea, other than enjoying the relaxation, is to make sure your skin feels refreshed and ready to go!
This bespoke barbershop is the creation of John, the owner, and was inspired by his many travels and favorite places around the world. Inside the red bricks were imported from London where John saw them at his favorite restaurant. The barber chairs are antiques ranging in age from 93-111 years old. And the pillars holding the barbershop products were inspired by the interior of Johnâs favorite pub.

Let me kind of give you a little rundown of how we operate with that.
Okay.
Think of it as a men's.
Facial.
We have a little story to go along with it kind of going back to Prohibition time.

We all know, everybody still drank a little bit.
There! So.
What we like to do with our hangover, rescue kind of playing tribute, is kind of laying you back, kind of detox, everything.
We're doing hot towels after hot towels.
Really pull out any toxins in there.
I got face, washes, beard, washes, shaving, soaps, face scrubs.
The whole idea is to really exfoliate, cleanse the skin, clean, everything.
So.

That's kind of the whole process of our hangover, treatment.

First thing we're going to do is a hot towel.
This one is going to kind of be a little temperature check just to make sure the temperature feels good for you.

Okay, if I keep hot towels there.
So, the very first part I'll be placing on you.
This is our face.
Wash.
Just really cleansing the skin.
Everything that I'm putting on you, we're just trying to use the highest grade, most premium quality products.
Like, to keep everything.
Clean, more of a cell.
Regenerating anti aging face wash.
Got, a nice subtle smell on you that you're going to be getting in.
Here comes another hot towel for you.
Next.
This is going to be our face.
Scrub.
This is more of an exfoliator, so this is getting your dead.
Skin cells all tidied up; a little bit deeper than just the surface of the face.
Wash.
One, more hot towel, and I like to accompany this with a little scalp massage as well.
Next I'm, applying our shaving soap.
Kind of cleaning everything, make sure everything's, nice and washed.
Kind of prepping the skin for any razor work.
That needs to be done as well.
